The United States is suspending visa processing for citizens of 75 countries, including Bangladesh. The decision takes effect on January 21. This was stated in a document from the U.S. Department of State. A State Department spokesperson also confirmed to Reuters that visa processing for all citizens of the 75 countries will be suspended.    According to the State Department document, the department is changing its vetting procedures to prevent applicants who might travel to the U.S. to receive government assistance from being admitted. Visa processing will remain suspended until those changes are completed. The document instructed U.S. embassies to stop issuing visas under existing law. It did not say how long the suspension will last.
